Dreaming of Home

I was not born by the sea, but every time I go to the beach (on vacations, etc) it feels like home. My boyfriend David and I dream of living by the sea someday, perhaps in a camper/RV at first, then an actual house when we've decided it's a good time to have children. We were both born in NY and always lived here. I have moved from house to house my whole life, one family tragedy after another, and now I'm without most people and feeling stuck in NY. I can't wait to leave. I feel like a "trash gull", growing up in unpleasant abusive situations with some equally negative people. I don't belong here. I belong by the sea somewhere, really starting life with David, running my own gift shop, selling my own artwork and letting myself totally heal. Someday....

This was made with Prismacolor Color Pencils, black pen ink, and white gel pen.
I worked very hard on this and been working on it for quite a while. ;n; I hope the quality looks ok. Had to scan it at a local Staples store and edit the color quality, etc.
I got lazy with the grass, yeah. There was a point when I didn't know what to do with the background where the grass and bricks are now. lol
